Born: a Tamil in the land called “Sri Lanka,”
From my teens, living in Aboriginals’ Land called “Canada”

Co-founded: Misfits for Change, a collective that formed to initiate leadership/alternative programs for youth at risk, children and women of Immigrant Ghettos like Scarborough [http://misfitsforchange.wordpress.com/]

Co-authored/edited:

1) Attem, a Tamil magazine published by immigrant women, 2005
2) Olikaatha Ilavenil [Silent Spring], Tamil anthology, 18 women poets of S Lankan origin’s poetry, (Vadaly Publishers, 2010)

  • Have the habit of exploring different genre of writings, in various pseudonyms, including writing columns as peddai/podichchi (2004-2008/9) [http://peddai.wordpress.com/]
  • my un/published poems, short stories and thoughts were collected in the blogsphere ‘An Utopian‘ (2005 – 2006)
  • also written/write a/political poems in a pen name starting from end of 2005, mainly in the issues related to the time of Peace agreement with Tamil rebels and Government of Sri Lanka, and about the human cost until/and the end of 2009.
  • contributing to thaiveedu, a monthly newspaper in Tamil language on contemporary issues.

children-women-workers/minority rights, community development, “Power to the People”, “Each one Teach one.”

Foundation:
Both my parents taught me about good will
and I have done well by their names
